Insurance
You need to ensure that reasonable precautions are in place at your church to keep it safe for those who use it. To do this, you need to think about what might cause harm to people.
You will then need to decide if the precautions already in place are adequate. If they are not, you may need to identify further action to prevent any danger. When done formally, this is known as a risk assessment.

Lead roofing is a traditional roofing method which has been used in the industry for hundreds of years, and is therefore proven to be extremely reliable. Lead roofing, and sand-cast lead, in particular is ideal for old buildings such as churches or historical renovations, whereas milled lead roofing is a mass-produced alternative, used for precision and accuracy in homes and commercial buildings alike.

Join the Defenders of the Faith at Aberdour Castle this Sunday
Come to Aberdour Castle this Sunday 12th June 2011 from 12 noon to 4pm and join one of the Scottish defending regiments as they await the invaders.During the summer of 1651, Oliver Cromwell’s invading army had taken control of the south of Scotland. With the Scots army based at Stirling and blocking the main route north, Cromwell had no option but to risk moving east through Fife.
Witness firing of cannons and musket volleys, watch the clash of pikes and swords and visit authentic military and civilian camps which will be open throughout the afternoon.
Gillian Urquhart, Events and Filming Assistant Manager at Historic Scotland said: ”This is a great way for all the family to have a fun-filled and exciting day and also learn about their history and heritage.”
The event is included in the normal admission price: Adult £5 Concession £4 Child £3 and is free to Historic Scotland members.
