Formed in 1934 by Horace Melville, the company is still today owned and operated by Adam and Stuart Melville, who represent the fourth generation of the family run firm, synonymous with fine plasterwork during that time.
The nineteen thirties was a great period when the art deco theatres and cinemas were built, the knowledge gained has been handed down the generations

We have been awarded the British Gypsum 2010 Plastering Solutions Trophy for the full restoration and decoration with enrichments and heraldic artwork, which was carried out through much of 2009 of an historical canvas barrelled ceiling in Ashton Hall, Lancaster,

•   Banquet suits, Mayors parlour, Main Staircase & council chambers, Lancaster Town Hall, Lancaster. Canvas plaster, enriched mouldings, Cornice, marble & lime plaster restoration.
•   City Museum, Lancaster. Haired Lime plasters restoration.
•   Grade II Listed Trevalyn manor, North Wales. Lime plaster & ceiling enrichments restoration.
•   Grade II Listed Ryelands house Lancashire, Lath & Haired Lime, cornice replacement and full decoration.
•   Grade II Listed Norcliffe Hall Styal, Cheshire
•  18th Century Halebank Farm, Hale Cheshire
